Downtown Pittsburgh’s Lutheran Campus Ministry
First Lutheran Church welcomes students, faculty, and staff of our Pittsburgh’s colleges and universities with special focus on our downtown schools, Point Park and Duquesne Universities.
As a part of First Lutheran Church’s campus ministry outreach, our young adult group (ages 18-35ish) includes undergraduate and graduate students, as well as working professionals. We gather for friendship, service projects, and faith explorations such as book studies and retreats. Many of our young adults are deeply involved in the wider ministry of First, regularly serving in choirs, on committees, and in liturgy.
First Lutheran Church also supports the ministry of Lutheran Campus Ministry of Greater Pittsburgh, which works especially with the campuses of the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, Carlow University, and Chatham University.
