The Downtown Ministerium exists to provide an ecumenical Christian witness in the heart of Pittsburgh and to provide a united ministry to those in need. The Ministerium is made up of the churches which serve the downtown community along with a variety of other agencies offering ministry in the center of the city.

Over the years, the Ministerium has been directly involved with alleviating human suffering through ministry to at-risk youth, to homeless women, and to those with a wide variety of emergency needs. The Ministerium established a youth drop-in center with the aid of Three Rivers Youth and the Bethlehem Haven Shelter for women. Through five congregations located within Pittsburgh’s “Golden Triangle,” the Ministerium carries out a daily ministry to those in need.
