The free-standing altar, designed by William Brocious, is exquisitely crafted in marble, brass, and wood.  The flowing, open design of the altar, suggesting Christ the vine, allows the original marble altar to be visible behind and through it.  The wooden mensa is inscribed with the traditional five crosses.
