The time after Pentecost, like the time after the Epiphany, begins and ends with a festival the color of which is white: Trinity Sunday and the Sunday of Christ the King. These two feast days embrace between them the long green season. The celebration of the Most Holy Trinity gathers Christmas, the festival of God the Father, and Easter, the festival of God the Son, and Pentecost, the festival of God the Holy Spirit, into one great celebration of the mystery and being of God.

In the name of the Father, (+) and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

In the morning: Psalm 84

In the evening: Psalm 113

Prayer of the Day

Almighty and everlasting God, you have given to us your servants grace, by the confession of a true faith, to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of the divine Majesty to worship the Unity: Keep us steadfast in this faith and worship, and bring us at last to see you in your one and eternal glory; who with the Son and the Holy Spirit live and reign, one God, now and for ever.

Pray for the whole Church of God
For her reconciliation and unity
For her health and peace
For the unity of the Church
For her renewal in the Spirit
For all who have been baptized into the Name of the Holy Trinity, that they may grow in the knowledge and love of God
For awe and reverence as we contemplate the mystery of the holy and glorious Trinity
For the theologians and teachers of the Church

Our Father…

The Lord almighty bless (+) us, and direct our days and our deeds in his peace.
